"I sleep and I unsleep. On the other side of me, beyond where I lie down, the silence of the house touches infinity. I hear time falling, drop by drop, and no falling drop is heard falling." Fernando Pessoa

Great picture which speaks volumes to me. it reminds me of how much sleep I need while I'm at work, in the middle of the day.
Well done, Minelmio.
minelmio: I liked reading your comment Kay. Thank you...
Interesting abstract
minelmio: thank you...
Great stuff and very fitting title. Love it.
The poem is like someone struggling to sleep. I recognise it from somewhere in my youth when I got enough sleep
minelmio: Thank you Louis, I'm glad you like it... interesting interpretation.
everything about this works!
minelmio: thank you paul...
What is behind this half opened door ? Great one, maybe a little out of focus, no ?
minelmio: Another room... or whatever you want it to be...
Thank you Florence... (It is not meant to be in focus...)
Nice shot. Just proves anything is a great shot if you take it right. You took it right.
minelmio: Thank you Gail for that nice comment.
This is a remarkably involving picture for something so simple. I am impressed.
minelmio: Thank you very much Martin...
Wonderful shot - so simple, so perfect. I like the low point of view - puts us in the position of a child, adding to the tension of the darkness beyond. Likey.
minelmio: thank you blackdog. and thank you for noticing the low point of view...
I opened the image three times today, before I started writing this comment. On one hand the image is too simple to discuss. On other hand, I was drawn to it, as there is a sense of tension, a happening of sorts, in it. As if you expect the handle to turn slowly, with a whisper-squeaking noise. Like in Hitchcock's "Psyco".
May be that is what real art does: makes you think, not just look.
minelmio: I am flattered by your comment and I like your allusions. Thank you for visiting and commenting.
Fin komposition
